First published in 1996 and now considered one of the most significant books written on modern perfumery as creators, perfumers, couturiers, bottle designers and fragrance house executives spoke openly about their fragrances. The result was a gold mine of insight. Revised and updated in 2019, Perfume Legends II presents new research, stunning images and eight new legends.
Michael Edwards Fragrance Wheel
Developed by esteemed fragrance expert Michael Edwards, the Fragrance Wheel divides scents into 4 different families – Floral, Ambery, Woods and Fresh, containing a total of 14 subfamilies.
All perfumes have a place on the Fragrance Wheel depending on their olfactive properties. By identifying your favourite families, you can easily discover new fragrances that you'll enjoy.

The best perfume book
Bought the 1st version of this book a few years ago as it's perfume lovers' bible.
Now I can finally get hands on the latest version of it which has with more new perfumes reviewed including Portrait of a Lady, one of my favorites. Perfume Legends II also replaced some photos & images. It's interesting to read both versions side by side.
Those books are not just a coffee table book. They are so knowledgeable, they provide so much information about a particular perfume which is hard to get from other sources.
