Discover Madurai from Fleurs Bohemes Collection, Memo.
A memory of India, steeped in the rich and airy fragrance of jasmine sambac and the creamier scent of sandalwood, is what guided the composition of Madurai. A fragrance that stirs the senses with vibrant notes of citrus and turmeric, like a colourful market stall.
The perfumer's word: "I created Madurai thinking about a wonderful trip to South India a few years ago. I remember one morning, sitting on a small terrace drinking tea. All my senses were alert. In the warm air, the intoxicating perfume of the flower sellers; the power of the spices and the sweetness of the mangoes from the stalls…. The rich and airy jasmine sambac of the offering necklaces and the creamy scent of sandalwood around the temples." Gaël Montero
Notes:
TOP: Tumeric, Bergamot, Peach, Clary Sage
HEART: Jasmine, Tuberose, Marigold
BASE: Sandalwood, Suede

Beautiful Jasmine-led fragrance
I received a sample of this and honestly didn’t think I would like it based on it’s inspiration. I was lukewarm on the opening but then the most intoxicating creamy jasmine sambac came through and I was floored. Settled into this musky sandalwoody suede after a few hours and I ended up buying a bottle. It's not an every day scent for me but I love it,

Evocative
This lovely fragrance takes me back to visits to India as a child to visit my grandparents. The opening is a mix of mild, warm spices and soon jasmine and marigold emerge. For me the peach is soft but comes through occasionally. I really enjoy this, receive compliments on it and am so happy to have it in my collection.
