So unique! Nothing like it.
I was transported to medieval times on first spray. This fragrance is a reinterpretation of the pomander scents used to ward off the black plague and to protect against witch craft. A specific recipe from 1348 has been expertly recreated for us today to experience what our medieval ancestors used and smelt in their pomanders. There’s amber, styrax, vanilla and damask rose, it’s complex , warm, sweet and honeyed with a balsamic hint and undertones of fresh green notes. The myrrh, frankincense and olibanum give it an oriental twist like an Armenian nutmeg spice cake come straight out of the oven! I loved it on first spray and then for hours after I loved it all the more on the dry down. It’s more of a cold weather scent. It reminds me of Amouage Rose Incense which is one of my most favourite parfums. If you love the scents inside an old antique bookstore, or a 600 year old Church I would recommend trying this.
