Fantastic, delightful, gorgeous
This fragrance is stunning and I am enjoying it immensely. It is hard to describe, it has a complex profile that includes soft, sweet, outdoors, dark, and resinous facets. Looking at the notes presents an exercise in maximalism, but an incredibly well-balanced one. Because some of the notes can be polarising, I strongly recommend sampling before purchasing or perhaps considering a discovery set to better get a sense of the brand overall if you are not yet familiar, in case your personal tastes lean in other directions. This one is a little on the sweet side to me, but I would suggest it's balanced and unisex.
I get all day presence, with lovely sillage. It stays on clothes pretty long term, so if you wear lots of different fragrances perhaps bear in mind that this sticks around. As reference, a single spray on test strip in store still had a gorgeous scent over a week later. Ditto for the coat I wore to the shop, where I tried this on skin before purchasing. Part of what drew me in was the trace of scent left behind....
I do not feel like there is evolution on skin but also don't want to suggest linearity. It's more that this perfume has so much going on that it is a wall, a cacophony, so focusing to find notes is tricky. Everything is there. It's great but it's not an experience where it's possible to contemplate notes in detail, at least not for me. I guess it's a bit like trying to have a personal conversation in a mosh pit. Don't bother finding the interplay here,…
