Developed by the historic fashion house's creative director, Olivier Rousteing, in partnership with Emilie Bouge, the offering is an evolution of Trudon's best selling scent, Emesto. Ernesto has long been Rousteing's favourite Trudon scent, forming a key ingredient of the distinctive ambience found within his office, home as well as the Balmain boutiques across the globe.

Bouge concocted an expert floral and feminine flourish for Ernesto's masculine notes, relying on the mysterious and distinct touch of black rose in order to create an ideal olfactory reflection of the twenty first century Balmain brand.

The unique glass vessel with its bold stripes, references one of the brands signature runway themes - his modern and luxe take on the traditional French sweater. The label is printed in gold foil and applied by hand.

Very Disappointed - Absolutely No Scent

Don't waste your money!

I own many Trudon candles and cameos, so I'm very familiar with the high quality and their throw of the scent. I recently purchased a few 270g Trudon Balmain candles from the Libertine Parfumerie outlet page, and I'm sad to say none of them have any scent. None at all! As Libertine refuses exchange or refund on outlet items (which is against ACCC policy), I'm now stuck with very expensive scentless candles. The vessel is gorgeous however, certainly not worth it by itself.

No Scent at All - Don't Waste Your Money

I own many Trudon candles and cameos. They all have a fabulous throw, that perfumes a large room. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about this candle, there is absolutely no scent at all. I purchased this candle from Libertine Parfumerie on their Outlet page. Unfortunately they don't allow returns, even if the item if faulty, which I'm sure these candles are. All in all, a very disappointing and expensive exercise.

My favourite of all the Trudon candles

Even though this one isn’t marketed as a Christmas candle, I can’t imagine not having Balmain out for the holidays. The scent is rich and almost edible. As always with the Trudon glass candle holders, the craftsmanship is superb.
