French Bouquet is a homage to the legacy of French perfumes in the 1970s. It showcases authentic Parisian sophistication and the capital's passion-filled nights, embodying the ultimate in French elegance. Created by Amélie Bourgeois (Flair), French Bouquet is a traditional chypre in which bergamot, rose, jasmine, oak moss and musk are revealed and sublimated by aldehydes. Their slightly oily and metallic potency gives a powdery appeal, as well as whitens and brightens the flowers in the chypre accord. This fragrance is the quintessence of French perfume, said Vesa Kalho, Beauty Buyer at Harrods.

Top notes: Aldehyde C12, Coriander, Bergamot from Italy
Heart notes: Rose from Morocco, Jasmine from India, Orange blossom from Tunisia
Base notes: Labdanum from Spain, Tobacco from Cuba, Vetiver from Haiti, Patchouli from Indonesia, Violet, Sandalwood, Tonka bean

PERFUMER: Amélie Bourgeois "During a meeting, David confided to me that his grandmother used to perfume her skirts and underskirts. She particularly liked aldehyde chypre. One day, I came back with a very contemporary aldehyde chypre fragrance as a tribute to his grandmother."

BDK French Bouquet

I received the item but I did not get the Libertine touch... it was like someone who packed it did not feel like coming to work that day. Did not get a card with a personalized message. No spray of a fragrance in the box before wrapping it up, sealing it and sending it to a loyal client, the way Libertine normally does it. These little things that shows appreciation to customers reaĺly matter and were missing.

Nevertheless, happy with my purchase.

A vintage joy

I bought this as a blind buy - I am pleased it is exactly as described. I do find it lacking in sillage and longevity, however still love it.

Delivery was quick and packaging was done with care.

Glamorous fragrance from years gone by

This fragrance is old school glamour. It is Chanel 5 and Arpege and Caleche. It is for a mature woman who prefers life the way it used to be. Feminine and lady like. It is so beautiful and timelessly elegant. If you like Chanel 5 without the screechiness, this is perfection for you.

Two Stars from me.

Very weak soft floral. Pretty floral but did not last on my skin. Tried a sample sent to me by Libertine, not full bottle worthy, not my style. I prefer full body, strong, long lasting and big sillage when paying big dollars for scents.
