“Perfect Oud” is the memory of this burnt wood for which Alberto Morillas made the decision not to include any oud wood essence. “Perfect Oud” is an emotion. The one of slow rising heat. A scent of leather and smoke which penetrates the skin and linens.

The rarely used Alaska cedar dominates here, revealing leather and incense notes. If coriander and bergamot oils cool it down, cade oil joins in to invigorate the blend. Hot and radical, “Perfect Oud” eventually bends thanks to the rose and iris oils.

And smoke can turn into a marvellous wake.

Not What I Was Looking For...

I had been looking for a fresh woody fragrance, so I ordered a sample set to try. Perfect Oud wasn’t quite what I expected at first, but after wearing it a couple of times, I became completely addicted to it — so much so that I ended up buying a bottle. It’s a sophisticated scent that really reveals itself over time, with plenty of depth and character. It’s also quite long-lasting, easily giving me 6+ hours of wear.

It’s beautiful

Actually perfect! It’s airy and long lasting. Beautiful blend of rose and oud. Iris reminds me of dior homme parfum, but this one isn’t that sweet in the drydown. Slight smoky feel.

Disappointed with the samples I received with my full bottle from Libertine: don’t know what happened there but none of the samples I requested was in the box ☹️
