Mantes la Jolie

I really like this scent! It's fresh and vegetal and herbaceous and all the things I like.

The initial spray has very little sweetness, so you just get the green like you've walked past a florist. The basil and other notes come together and have a similar freshness to dill, which might be off-putting to some.

The bottle is very cute and a pleasure to hold. I'm hoping there'll be a larger bottle available at some point.

The performance is normal for a green scent, so it's actually pretty weak and will need reapplying through the day. I've been wearing this in Melbourne's 35~38ºC weather, but mostly staying indoors.

Minty and woody, the opening note is refreshingly cool and invigorating. The middle evolves into a dry, woody accord, finishing with a sweet, woody base that retains a hint of mint. I wish the top notes lingered longer. Longevity is around 3-4 hours on me. This is probably the best mint perfume I’ve tried so far, but I wish it felt more summery and lasted longer.
