Nishane's Ani Extrait de Parfum is a romantic and calming perfume inspired by a famous Anatolian folk song called “Sarı Gelin” (in Turkish) or “Sari Gyalin” in Armenian. As the similarity of the name of the song in both languages suggests, both nations share a very similar culture. The only boundary is in the imagination of the people. Under the theme of 'No Boundaries', the creative directors Murat Katran and Mert Guzel collaborated closely with the talented perfumer Cécile Zarokian to create this enchanting scent. Ani is the name of an ancient city that today lies empty, a crumbling site of the once-great metropolis, known as "the city of a 1001 churches." Today, it’s an eerie, abandoned city of ghosts that stands alone on a plateau. As you walk among the many ruins, the only sound is the wind howling through a ravine that marks the border between Turkey and Armenia. This concentrated Extrait de Parfum is dedicated to overcoming any border between people and to empower the wearer to build their own empire even in a situation when all that is left is nothing but the ruins.

Nishane Ani Extrait de Parfum

I’m finding this perfume unique and interesting. Not for everybody likeness though. Also the scent is not the same depending on the mood, the time of the day, weather and occasion. To me it has a mystery and darkness, at the same time it is fresh and zesty. It is luxury and beautiful. You could love this perfume or hate. But it is a one step from hate to love…

Sweet Lemon Vanilla Delight but Overhyped!

Had high hopes for this fragrance! But was bitterly let down by the performance. Strong and loud projection of citrus/bergamot/green notes and ginger in the first hour and then it drys down to an almost skin scent soft lemon vanilla. The sweetness makes this a soft gourmand. Often reported as a cold weather fragrance I am wearing this on a cold (melbourne) day and don't get too much of a cozy feeling. The fresh citrus and ginger note makes me think this is an all year fragrance (perhaps better for the evening in hot summers due to the sweetness). For the price I wish it had better longevity - almost undetectable after 6 hours.

Unique vanilla, simply stunning

I discovered this during the recent masterclass and I’m sooooo glad I ended up purchasing the full bottle. It is a beautiful spicy vanilla with some green nuances. The quality is absolutely outstanding and the fragrance lasts for hours, days on clothes. I have lots of vanillas in my collection but this is by far my favourite.

Warm spicy, sweey, woody and lightly fresh opening

How exciting that Libertine has added Nishane to its offerings. This is my first Nishane experience and it is magnificent. I don't think I can think of anything better than a soft amber scent with a bit of green freshness. In fact, quite often I find myself layering my green scents with a vanilla or amber scent. This is a beautifully complex scent with many notes. It is pleasingly long-lasting with fantastic sillage. Highly recommended and blind buy safe also.
