Frapin

This is wonderful! It holds in the base but is lemony sweet in a most interesting way. It’s impossible to buy a Frapin perfume that is not refined and gorgeous

The longivity and sillage are on the subtle side but the scents are so wonderful I’m happy to overspray .

I love to later this with Santal Austral from Matiere Premiere for added sandalwood or Xerjoff Torino 22 which has a bergamot citrus, slightly sweet amber attitude

Brilliant boozy fragrance - Gives me rum and raisin ice cream liqueur, certainly a shame it lasts 4ish hours

I met 1270 in a masterclass and fell in love. It’s rich and has the woody Amberley notes I love plus a bit of sweetness. Would be heaven on a man too. Love Libertine’s generous gift style packaging, samples and personal note. If you want to treat yourself like a special friend shop at Libertine. Gosh where to even start. So many notes that combine into the ultimate dry woods scent. Another Frapin fragrance that smells like Christmas! This one is sweet, smooth, boozey and woody - but very unique. It has a masculine leaning. My third Frapin sample so far and none of them have disappointed.

I was initially excited to be exposed to different fragrances sent out as samples by Libertine Parfumerie and after much deliberation ordered the Frapin 1270... unfortunately I inadvertently selected the incorrect 1270 on the website (there are two types with the same name) and ended up with the most disgusting perfume which I despise and cost $265 with no option of return. I look at that bottle every day and wish i had never taken the leap to order a fragrance online - don't do it.

A wonderfully subtle and smooth scent, oozing pure class. Some may consider the lack of "beast mode" performance as a negative - but for me it allows me to enjoy the fragrance journey more than once a day!!

I highly recommend this product, nice and strong, long lasting and has an aromatic smell that is so unique.

Sophisticated, alluring and ****. I thought 1270 was a lovely fragrance, but this is just another level. Have received compliments from both male and females. Its a little on the masculine side which I really like, and so do many many people re the compliments I have received, it seems. It smells expensive. Love the bottle that reminds me of a cognac bottle. Very classy.

I love how the smell of pineapple and jasmine pop out together with the woody ambery notes. Compared to 1270, it’s less sweet, more woody and floral, and with a more long lasting woody ambery base.

Warm, heady, fruity, spicy and sweet. I bought this for my son after we tried a sample and it suited his skin perfectly. Very much reminds me of the classic Givenchy Pi. Beautifully packaged, wonderful samples included. He will treasure it forever.

I always find it so satisfying when I can detect each and every top note, as I can with this one, especially the eucalyptus. Absolutely fascinating scent. Masculine lean. Beautiful woody base notes. A unique scent. Strongly recommend you get your hands on a sample if you like different.

Fresh and spicy opening followed by a bright (iris and heliotrope) smoothness with all the wood and leather notes. Masculine leaning. The iris and heliotrope give this dry woods fragrance a unique spin.

If this was a chess game people would come back to chat and see how it developed...as a perfume, the cardamon dominates and there's a lemony/leathery/white pepper powdery complexion in the background...and some wood. It has personality, although it's serene...not a 'look at me scent'. After this, I might try the Frapin family's cognac...

New to Frapin but likely to be back. My preferred combination of citrus top notes with leather/woody heart and base notes. Long lasting with decent sillage.

This almost smelt like coconut upon first spray! Masculine lean. The pepper is not overwhelming but combined with the ginger gives it a nice kick. Then a beautiful smooth combination of cashmeran, cinnamon, Tonka bean and wood. I agree with the previous reviewer that this is very different to Gris Charnel. I find Gris Charnel VERY intense. This is like a sweeter softer version.

It was a love from the first sniff. Very easy to wear and inoffensive. People say it smell like gris charnel, but to me they are very different.

My only complaint is about the performance. The projection is weak and the longevity is only moderate.

Lovely fragrance, ideal for spring and summer. Despite not being able to provide the requested samples, the Libertine team delivered excellent service. I remain very satisfied with both this and my previous shopping experiences with them.

I think the review by Helen B describes this scent perfectly. Personally, I found it smelt delightfully like Christmas. Because of this, and the depth of the scent, I would consider it an Autumn and Winter scent. I found it nicely strong whereby the scent didn't "disappear" within 5 minutes of wearing it, and it is also long-lasting.

Isle of Man was one of those fragrances which I immediately liked, but I needed to wear it more to decide whether to purchase a full bottle. Thanks to Libertine’s generous policy of giving samples, I was able to wear IoM multiple times, in different seasons and weather conditions. It leant itself to virtually every occasion, dressy or lazy staying in days, also showing multiple facets depending on the climate. In hot humid weather the marine saltiness is so enjoyable, yet in cold wet weather it is the musk which lends pleasant comfort. In dry heat I found it slightly peppery (a note I usually struggle with), and woody with a slight delightful smokiness.

Try this, and try it more. My new bottle of Isle of Man was worth the 18 month wait.

Settles well on the skin, will be a great spring fragrance.

Love the Frankincense note and to me the opening smell is like whisky.Just wish it would last longer.

After seeing a review and reading the description of the notes, Laskarina sounded like a fragrance that I would love. Since I couldn’t get a sample easily I decided to blind buy. Well, I won’t be doing that again!! Once it hits my skin I get bizarre notes of eraser and cola. It dries down to something more tolerable but not something that I can wear. I would not put this in the floral/citrus category. I have tried to gift this to my husband/daughter/son but they have all politely declined!

Uplifting fragrance with sparkly citrus notes. Pleased to have discovered L'Humaniste and feel happy when wearing it.

Fresh lemony sunshine weather fragrance with the black pepper and nutmeg giving it wonderful spiciness and depth. I am tempted to describe it as a gin and lemon sorbet but it’s far more classy, especially with the oil notes. The top notes lean feminine but it settles into a fragrance that would smell equally amazing on a man. Starts to smell more “green” after the initial impact of the lemon.

Warm, fresh and powdery on dry down, absolutely gorgeous and fantastic summer fragrance.

Such a lovely and elegant scent! Even though its projection and sillage aren’t the most powerful, nor does it last long on my skin, this is the perfect scent for the office or somewhere you don’t want to assail anyone with a strong fragrance

Inspired by "the toaster" who leaves roses on Edgar Allan Poe's grave, this fragrance is beautifully crafted. Late-blooming roses, wine and stone unfold to a warm powder dry down. I reach for it almost every day. I would say it feels classically wintery but don't limit yourself! Powerful stuff.

I bought this parfume a few weeks ago, it is divine. I can smell rose, wine, cedarwood, It’s very special, I never tried this style. Only one thing I feel a little disappointed is it’s not long lasting, but it’s still a very nice parfume, I recommend it.

My beautiful partner bought speakeasy for me a few months ago and she was spot on. This fragrance is underrated, it's an absolute beast, especially on my skin. It's warm, boozy, beautiful tobacco.

Inspired to buy by the sample, but dissapointed that sample & full bottle purchase were not seem to have the same Notes &Sillage. Ingredients list on sample different to bottle. Somewhatdisspointed with purchase, even thoughIinstantly loved the sample fragrance.
