Top notes are Fig, Cardamom and Violet Leaf; middle notes are Vetiver, Iris, Cypress and Coconut; base notes are Amyris, Sandalwood, Cedar and Amber. This is a beautiful fig iris. A powdery, a little milky , lots of resin, the fig and the iris really balance well, neither is more dominant and they play beautifully together. Very soft and elegant scent, office safe too. To me it's more powdery than woody, not getting much pine nor cedar nor vetyver (which is good.) This leans feminine on me but my skin tends to sweeten a lot of things up some have said this leans masc. I love it I'm putting it on my best of powdery shelf, though it could easily be on my fruity shelf but it's a better powdery frag than a fruit frag if that makes sense ? also get Soft milky coconut scent as well

On my skin, No.89 is rose and musk forward. It's a classic of men's perfumery and somewhat dated in the most charming way. Similar to Habit Rouge from Guerlain but much more natural and much more pleasant.

Mature old school style of fragrance unique against newer type scents

this wasn't as good as the sample and was not long-lasting & its main notes were not discernable.

This is a very elegant fragrance that is ideally worn in the evening. The silliage is moderate ; projection is above very decent overall.Although its a EDT concentration the longivity is around the 6 to 8 hour mark which is approaching EDP concentration. Would recommend it to a person who is aged above 30 though. Its a classic kind of fragrance.

Lovely fragrance.

I find myself reaching for this fragrance more often than not. It’s just so feminine and pretty! Smells like a big old bunch of freshly cut, beautiful smelling flowers. The silage and longevity constantly impress me; it certainly packs a punch for an EDT. I absolutely adore this fragrance, and by the compliments I get when wearing it, so do a lot of other people. Lovely scent, very natural, long lasting. I had seen it described as a unisex, but from a man who enjoys wearing Caleche and No.19 among other feminines, this is definitely one for the girls.

I love this. I bought it "blind" just from reviews and comparisons I wasn't disappointed. Suitable for both women and men in the way that Mitsouko is - it's sort of neither masculine nor feminine, it just smells wonderful.

Oak moss forward right off the bat. Similar in some aspects to Aramis, but with a bit of soapy cleanliness and without the dirty leather.

Nostalgic. Masculine. Slightly Macho. Reminiscent of other 80s fragrances but slightly more complex. Similar to Chanel Pour Monsieur. Its actually a very nice fragrance but most suited to older gentlemen, hence only 3 stars from me.

I have loved this Floris classic since 1981. There is nothing 'quite like it' in my view, and it frequently receives complements. You must allow it to settle for a little while (as with all fragrances, I guess). Look at other reviews for descriptors as I am hopeless with the 'language' of fragrance desciptors.

Initially very sweet with an immediate "honey" scent which quickly matures to a warm complex hit of Oud that lasts.

This fragrance is really good b balance well with sweetness and good but not too sickly sweet. And the one thing I really love is that it’s unique.
